Marriage or Single
She has been driven up hill by her peers, relatives and worst of all her family to get married... people trying to arrange marriage for her... “What is at all compelling about marriage? Why would we even want to be married?” She asked herself. "What's wrong with being Single??" "Single gives you freedom, zero committment. less worries for kids, partner or watsoever.. if there's anything you have to worry it's yourself," she claim... She simply can't understand...It could be all the surrounding propelling factor that keep her away from marriage. The jovious and tomboyish character never fail to make her popular among guys and made them her buddies.. From young this big kid was like the elder son of the family, with the competitiveness, she was far too independent for her own good and had been through pretty much more than what anyone her age would done so. Despite her happy family, she have seen too much of the seductive world, the many poker face and what else the ugly sight of human. Broken marriages, devoted husbands who stray... the author had properly seen too much...so much that there was no faith in marriage... Or maybe she was deceiving herself all along..for all She wanted was to bury those beautiful memories deep down for no one can replace that special one...the pain still hurts despite the conceal flawless skin. She's just hoping for his return.. the return that is never possible.. unless god can bring him back alive She ponders..... Would she gather that courage to get married? Stay determined and stand firm on Singlehood? Or would marriage is for the sake of marriage for others? [Stay tune...] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Attitude Princess]Was reading this interesting article, and thought I could share with my readers...People marry to get company that they would not get if they were single. Nobody wants to return to an empty home, which is what happens if you do not marry. Isolation can be killing. Studies have shown that isolation can be harmful to health as heavy smoking or drinking. It is only in the movies that bachelors look young and carefree. If you see men who are single, after the age of 28 or so, you will find that they look older and more worn out than married persons of the same age. Scores of studies done in North America and Western Europe shows that married people enjoy better health than singles. They also live longer. Take mental health for instance. Singles outnumber married individuals by three to one in mental hospitals. Outnumbering the singles however, are widowed people, testifying to a fact that the death of a spouse is one of life's most stressful events. However, data shows that divorce can unbalance a married individual. Divorced people in mental hospitals one and a half times, some studies shows. Single men are nearly twice as likely to commit suicide as married men. Divorced and widowed men, however, were even more suicidal than single men. Looking at this data it is worth examining why marriage contributes to health and longevity and why being single has the reverse effect. The answer is simple. People who are married and especially those with children, drink and drive less, take drugs less, and engage in less risky behavior. They feel responsible for their wife and children while an unencumbered bachelor tends to be more reckless. Medical studies confirm that the benefits from marriage are many. Married people not only have lower rates for a variety of illness, they are less accident-prone than singles. Singles also are far more likely to have a car accident or die of diseases of the liver, largely caused by drinking liquor. Research shows that married people drink least, the widowed, divorced or separated the most. Heavy drinkers are also heavy smokers. Married people are happier than singles because man is a social animal and loneliness depresses him because human being grow up with close relationships and cannot cope with isolation. A man lives in a family for many years after he is born. In school and college, he has friends. When he begins a job, he has office colleagues. But it is only at home as a bachelor that he is all alone. He cannot endure that. That is why you find men getting married soon after they begin working. Finally marriage derives its strength from a human being's need to perpetuate himself beyond death by producing children. This evolutionary need is so strong that even an enlightened thinker like Bertrand Russell wrote that people unable to have children begin to find life meaningless because there is nothing to connect them with a distant future when they would not be alive.
The Simian Line
Since the tragedy which happens years back, the author have always wanted to find out more about the Simian Line also known as "Duan Zhang" in chinese.Every since the author was just a kid, people have been telling her that she is a jinx. A female with a simian line is supposed to have bad luck and would bring bad luck to her loved ones... The author was never superstitious till the tragedy strikes... Unfortunately, the death of the beloved did cast a mark in the heart. The family of the decesased refused to forgive her and had all responsibility hung over the author...She has no turning back, no option but to think that she was respionsible for the darkness... no one else knew about this... it seems like a forgotten past but the scar never get faded off... the memory is still as clear as ever. The memory of the pointing finger, the memory of the heart shattering pain for the lost of her beloved. She never had the courage to face the reality, to reveal the truth of the simian line for she fear that the truth might be too harsh to bear. Fortunately, she chance upon the truth... for once light seem to have brighted the dark endless tunnel. For once, she had learn to face the reality, letting the heavy accusation off her fragile shoulder. The scar is not erasable but she had learn to move on for she know, she with the simian palm line is not a jinx. She could have been a genius, a hidden talent, an achiever... she unlike others is unique, is special.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All about SimianMost people have two major transverse lines in the upper half of the palm. In Palmistry and Hand Analysis these are called the Heart Line and the Head Line. When the Heart Line and Head Line are fused together, only one major line is present, and it extends all the way across the hand from edge to edge. This is called a "Simian Line", or "Simian Crease". Medical references call it the "proximal transverse palmar crease" or "single palmar crease".When the Simian Line occurs, the "Great Quadrangle" is entirely missing. There is no distinction between what is desired (the Heart) and what is thought (the Head). The result is an incredible intensity of nature, but a strong tendency to rush into all things without thinking them through. Also note that without the Great Quadrangle, we have a completely closed-minded individual. Because they are so focussed on a particular thought, all else is excluded. In another possible appearance of the Simian Line, the lines of Head, Heart, and Life are all joined. All the above traits apply, but even more intensely, since there is now no distinction between the thoughts, desires, and life itself.
The Simian Line gives the ability to focus on one thing, absolutely, to the exclusion of all else. These people generally achieve and accomplish far more than most, developing techniques and inventions that will last for generations. They also experience far more misfortune than most, usually due to the same intensity that drives them. A truly double-edged sword.People with Simian Lines generally live their life differently than most other people who do not have Simian Lines. Not necessarily living better nor worse. Just living more intensely with an undercurrent of uneasinessSome Advice for those who have the Simian Line: Your ambition for success in business endeavors will be strong, as will be the tendency to shut out all else in persuit of these ambitions. Strive to learn how thought and emotion are separate parts of the psyche - allow them to disagree once in a while, and not be narrow-minded or judgemental in all your beliefs. Discover the workings of the human nervous system in order to understand what assists life, and what harms it. In this way, work to eliminate your hidden drive towards self-destruction. You have a great deal of power at your disposal - always use it to your benefit. Stay true and strong. If you need help in dealing with your compulsions, many resources are available.
Why Man Cheat
I was reading this article on why man Cheat... and in the survey they conducted: The number ONE reason for straying is Emotional Dissatisfaction, which an astounding 48 percent of cheating men listed as the main trigger. Only 8 percent of men listed sexual dissatisfaction as the primary factor in their infidelity. In fact, just 12 percent of cheating husbands said their mistress was more physically attractive than their wife. I belive this statistic is equally true for a woman... I have to agree to some extend that like woman, Man needs to be love, needs to feel the love... I have seen many uncles whose wife are far more attractive than the mistress. It is not all amout the physical appearance anymore as you aged and mature... It's easy for long-term couples to start taking each other for granted, and the things you loved about your partner when you first met may have faded over time. Everything seems to be a norm.. so it's important to keep expressing that feeling of admiration for each other, keep the sparks growing: Thank him when he does something nice for you, and aim to give him at least one sincere compliment everyday -- be it a physical asset ("You look delicious in this shirt!") or a personality trait. ("Thank you for being so supportive."). Give him a well deserved big hug/kiss when he gets home after a bad day at work.. When you express appreciation for your partner, it reassures him your love and helps boosts his self-esteem. Guess, quality time is equally important for a couple to make sure the marriage stays strong. How often it occurs to a couple, that they set aside too much time for their work and kids that they neglect their partner... so set aside at least ten minutes everyday just for each other. Just the 2 of you... Any activity that reconnects you and nurtures your bond counts as quality couple time -- whether it's a lazy weekend lounging around, cooking something together, Curdling together for a pillow talk before you go to sleep, a quiet evening of romantic candle light dinner at home alone without the kids, or even a mid-week lunch date. All these special moments together add up to reinforce your intimacy as a couple. Believe me not, I may not be married but I have seen far more broken marriage than you would have imagine... It takes 2 hands to clap. Start loving and appreciating your partner before you lost him/her..
