The Simian Line

Dear Diary,

Since the tragedy which happens years back, the author have always wanted to find out more about the Simian Line also known as "Duan Zhang" in chinese.

Every since the author was just a kid, people have been telling her that she is a jinx. A female with a simian line is supposed to have bad luck and would bring bad luck to her loved ones... The author was never superstitious till the tragedy strikes... Unfortunately, the death of the beloved did cast a mark in the heart. The family of the decesased refused to forgive her and had all responsibility hung over the author...

She has no turning back, no option but to think that she was respionsible for the darkness... no one else knew about this... it seems like a forgotten past but the scar never get faded off... the memory is still as clear as ever. The memory of the pointing finger, the memory of the heart shattering pain for the lost of her beloved.

She never had the courage to face the reality, to reveal the truth of the simian line for she fear that the truth might be too harsh to bear.

Fortunately, she chance upon the truth... for once light seem to have brighted the dark endless tunnel. For once, she had learn to face the reality, letting the heavy accusation off her fragile shoulder. The scar is not erasable but she had learn to move on for she know, she with the simian palm line is not a jinx. She could have been a genius, a hidden talent, an achiever... she unlike others is unique, is special.

All about Simian
Most people have two major transverse lines in the upper half of the palm. In Palmistry and Hand Analysis these are called the Heart Line and the Head Line.
When the Heart Line and Head Line are fused together, only one major line is present, and it extends all the way across the hand from edge to edge. This is called a "Simian Line", or "Simian Crease". Medical references call it the "proximal transverse palmar crease" or "single palmar crease".

When the Simian Line occurs, the "Great Quadrangle" is entirely missing. There is no distinction between what is desired (the Heart) and what is thought (the Head). The result is an incredible intensity of nature, but a strong tendency to rush into all things without thinking them through.
Also note that without the Great Quadrangle, we have a completely closed-minded individual. Because they are so focussed on a particular thought, all else is excluded.

In another possible appearance of the Simian Line, the lines of Head, Heart, and Life are all joined. All the above traits apply, but even more intensely, since there is now no distinction between the thoughts, desires, and life itself.

The Simian Line gives the ability to focus on one thing, absolutely, to the exclusion of all else. These people generally achieve and accomplish far more than most, developing techniques and inventions that will last for generations. They also experience far more misfortune than most, usually due to the same intensity that drives them. A truly double-edged sword.

People with Simian Lines generally live their life differently than most other people who do not have Simian Lines. Not necessarily living better nor worse. Just living more intensely with an undercurrent of uneasiness

Some Advice for those who have the Simian Line:
Your ambition for success in business endeavors will be strong, as will be the tendency to shut out all else in persuit of these ambitions. Strive to learn how thought and emotion are separate parts of the psyche - allow them to disagree once in a while, and not be narrow-minded or judgemental in all your beliefs.

Discover the workings of the human nervous system in order to understand what assists life, and what harms it. In this way, work to eliminate your hidden drive towards self-destruction.
