14th July, ISO couse & BBQ w Collegues

Dear Diary,

It was a tiring day for me…

Woke up early to prepare all the necessary food and stuff for the ISO Audit course in office. I was put to in charge this thing… O well…. It wasn’t suppose to be my job scope actually. I mean I am an engineer.. why am I doing HR stuff… Never mind… take it as experience then…

So I try my best to get everything in place… being a perfectionist… I thought everything would go on smoothly as I have make arrangement to all the things and called everyone and stuff… then the first strand of hair start to appear on the sparkling floor that irritated me… I mean, the first “mishap”… No more paper cups means no drinks for everyone… plus I dun have the key to the pantry cupboard… darn…pissed off… fortunately one of the colleagues managed to buy it along the way… phew…

O well… at least all other things went on smoothly….

The lesson ended early for everyone so I got the time to go back home for some short rest before heading off to the charlet… The rest of them went off straight after the course other than me and Khian wee so I offer to give her a life down later….

Upon getting home, I collapsed onto my bed for a short nap… only wake up to realized I am late… KW gave me quite a number of calls.. so did Robin…. Shit.. I’m going to be killed…

Anyway.. so off I left home to meet KW whose waiting downstairs patiently… felt so guily… I am such a sleepy head… Guess I was too stressed over the course…. Hehe… didn’t want anything to screw it up that’s why…

Reached the charlet at around 7pm… thought I would be there just in time for the food…. But somehow… the 2 guys have problem starting fire… argh…

*Growl*

There goes my grumbling stomach….

So I took out my camera and started snapping…

Hmm…. Bad day… the photos are so blur…. I wonder why…
(only to found out that someone changed the settings yesterday and I forgot to tune it back… damn… too late)

The bbq session was meant to be a simple chilled out session… but somehow it came in time to be a farewell session for Nikk then….

After about 3 hrs or so… I suggested to leave cuz I gotta work the following day in the Island.. so I made my leave together with KW, jeff + wife . and xinyu… drove them back… but like I say it was a lousy day cuz my car’s aircon didn’t work… and everyone got to scroll down their window for some sand blasting polluted air from the highway…

Finally got home before 12…

17th Juy 06

The disaster…. Got back office on Monday and was asked to pay for the BBQ… o well.. fair enough… but the real gimmicks here is that me and KW as well as XY, we were only there for 3hrs, simply eat some BBQ food… an we were asked to fork out 50 bucks per person… OMG.,.. this is robbery.. when I was told the amount to pay…. I didn’t stay in the chalet over the weekends… I wasn’t there very long, and for that miserable amount of over-cooked, charcoaled food… it was ridicules.. I thought…

However being the composed lady, I always was, I paid the money without questioning…. However when I turned my back into the QA room… I was complaining, and nagging…. Lol… Initially I though I was the only one unpleased, but apparently so was KW and XY… hehe.. thank goodness … for a moment I though I was the ‘stingy’ one I mean honestly, I could have easily gone for a goodwood park dinner buffet and take a cab back… I would think that’s more worth the 50 bucks…

Lesson learnt…
