What are they ordering in the Kopitiam (Coffeeshop)?

Dear Diary,

You are sitting at one of the coffeeshop or hawkers and often you will hear the uncle/auntie selling drinks shouting out some terms placing orders. This scene shouldn't be too rare to Singaporeans but not all understand what the aunites and uncles are saying thinking that must be their secret code or something. Well as a matter of fact, this is a "universal language" or terms used across all the coffeeshops and hawkers in SINGAPORE. haha... even in some parts of Malaysia (provided the person selling is non-malay).

I was out with a fren from germany and he asked curiously, "Didn't i ordered for ice-milo? The auntie said 'Pa Q- Peng', did the aunite place the wrong order?"

I just laugh heartedly and explained that they are saying it in Hokkien and in their 'secret' code.

Decided to reveal this 'mystery language'

So What are they ordering in the Kopitiam (Coffeeshop)?

Teh - Tea with condensed milk (no sugar needed)
Teh-O - Tea with sugar, without milk
Teh-C - Tea with evaporated milk. The C here means the "Carnation" brand of evaporated milk.
Teh-Peng - Teh with ice.
Teh-packet - Teh "Take-away"
Kopi - Coffee with condensed milk (no sugar needed)
Kopi-O - Coffee with sugar, without milk
Kopi-C - Coffee with evaporated milk. The C here means the "Carnation" brand of evaporated milk.
Kopi-Peng - Kopi with ice.
Kopi-bao/(packet) - Kopi "Take-away"
Kopi-gao - Thick Kopi (less water)
Kopi-siu-dai - Kopi (coffee) with less sugar
Kopi-Ko-Song- Kopi (coffee) without sugar
Diao-he (Means Fishing in Hokkien) - Chinese tea ('cuz in tea bag form = fishing)
Pa-Q (Hitting ball in Hokkien) - Milo ('cuz the Milo tins are usually painted with pictures of atheletes playing ball games)
Dinosaur- Thick Iced Milo (With additional scoop of Milo powder on top of ice Milo) : Taste great but sinful hee

p/s: U can change the Kopi-peng or Kopi-gao etc to Teh -Peng or Milo-Peng etc just replace the Kopi at the front to your prefered beverages then 'peng' for ice and 'gao' meaning thick etc...

Ok so far that's all i can think of, if you guys know of more then i'll add to the list.
